An insight which FootballCo uncovered was that in the 1970s, the average top-flight football player had approx. 6 seconds to decide what to do next when receiving the ball.
Today, that time has shortened to approx. 0.8 seconds and therefore the standards required to reach the elite level in today's game are set much higher.
No longer is it just about being at the peak of your physical power. Having a razor-sharp mind is just as critical, with an ability to make calculations and analyse situations in the blink of an eye. The campaign set out to showcase the volume of data a modern-day top-flight player needs to process in a competitive match and how their brains have to be able to work just as quickly as their feet.
Working with agency, FootballCo, I was brought in to help turn the creative vision into a reality with production support, live action directing and shooting, as well as all of the editing for the campaign's numerous content assets.
